I consider myself a lifestyle photographer. What does that mean? Wikipedia defines it as a style of photography that aims to portray real life situations in a controlled setting. The best search Google gave me was from the Wedding Photographer Blog, they made it more real. Now here is my take on it. It means taking the normal posed photography and thinking outside the box. It is capturing the reality of a moment in time. Showing not just how beautiful a person is outside but how beautiful they are inside. Lifestyle Photography shows the personality of a person and how they feel as the moment was captured. I don’t want to be stuck inside, in a studio with fake lighting. I want to be outside, in the air, it the natural light. I want to be where my client feels most comfortable. So I can capture them in their reality.
